  • 1 tablespoon ghee or oil

  • A pinch of asafoetida (hing)

  • Salt to taste

  • Water (as needed)


For Tempering


  • 1 tablespoon oil

  • 1/2 teaspoon mustard seeds

  • 1/2 teaspoon urad dal (split black gram)

  • 1/2 teaspoon chana dal (split Bengal gram)

  • 1-2 green chilies, slit


How to make Instant Rava Idli

Step 1: Roasting the Semolina


  • Heat a tablespoon of ghee or oil in a pan.
